I ordered the Molcajete and the Fajita Sinaloense and the waiter complimented me both times by saying "goodness amazing orders". Which was hilarious because he didn't say that to the rest of my coworkers.
The service is quick, the portions are big, food is delicious. If you enjoy seafood I highly recommend!
Pro tip: They celebrate birthdays hard, they will dim the lights and sing happy birthday for a few mins I swear."

"Super friendly and always do accommodating! We've been coming here for years and Mario is always the best host. Truly makes you feel like family. We came here after work with a group of 24 people. Mario took everyone's order without writing it down. Then did a loop and confirmed everyone's order without missing a beat. We all evolved exactly what we ordered. I was very impressed. I order the molcajete. It was delicious. The doctor margaritas were very good too. Great place to celebrate a birthday! Very festive."
"I had the opportunity to visit this restaurant last week as it came highly recommended from a good friend.
I ordered the super Carne Asada burrito to my amazement it was the best burrito I've ever had. In particular, the steak was so tender and flavorful you can even taste the flame broil of the meat. The rice and beans were food quality as it didn't taste like cheap old rice and beans. It seemed that everything was fresh. The tortilla was nice and soft.
Every bite of my burrito was flavorful and juicy. The super burrito came with fresh guacamole and sour cream in the burrito. It made it extra tasty.
I will definitely be back here again soon!"
"El Sinaloense is tucked away in a part of San Mateo away all the other main retail and restaurant areas in town. I would definitely call this a hidden gem.
We were able to find parking out front right away and noticed so many people were streaming into the restaurant on a Saturday evening at dinner time. Thankfully we had reservations. The restaurant has a bar area and a spacious dining room. The atmosphere was very lively and it seemed like everyone was having a great time! There were large and small groups of families and friends on the night of our visit.
The menu contains all the usual dishes one typically sees at a Mexican restaurant but it also had a good selection of seafood dishes, especially ceviche, mariscada (mixed seafood platter) and the molcajete. Their mole is also well made.
I ordered a carnitas taco and chicken enchilada and was able to sample the molcajete and mole. Everything was fresh, flavorful, well seasoned and cooked to perfection. I really enjoyed the salsa that came with the chips. There were no complaints from anyone in our group; we all had high praise for the food, service and overall experience.
Service was on point and delivered with many smiles. The wait staff was hustling!
I honestly felt like I could have been at a restaurant in Mexico while dining here. The dishes seemed to be more authentic than most places I've been to that cater to American palates.
I cannot wait to return to try some of their other dishes. Parking is fairly easy to find nearby. I would definitely call ahead to reserve a table on weekend evenings."
